To mark a milestone decade, radio host, fitness entrepreneur, and human rights advocate Maya Nassar Maalouf chose a unique way to celebrate her 40th birthday by hosting “Voices of Hope,” an inspiring evening dedicated to resilience, empowerment, and courage, at Malia Tower in Jal El Dib.
Stepping away from traditional birthday celebrations, Maya envisioned an event that would uplift and empower her community, bringing together voices of extraordinary strength to motivate others facing life’s challenges.
The evening featured compelling keynotes from two extraordinary speakers:
Lurata Lyon, international speaker, author, and human rights activist, who shared her harrowing yet profoundly inspiring journey of surviving human trafficking and war, demonstrating the undeniable power of human resilience.
Anthony Nahoul, who moved the audience with his powerful story of overcoming life-altering adversity, offering a deeply personal perspective on faith, determination, and finding purpose through struggle.
“Turning 40 is a meaningful milestone, and I wanted to celebrate it by giving something truly inspiring back to our community,” said Maya Nassar Maalouf. “Hope is not just a feeling—it’s a mindset and a choice. Bringing Lurata and Anthony to Beirut to share their journeys was my way of showing that no matter what obstacles we face, we all have the capacity to overcome, rebuild, and thrive.”
The event drew an engaged crowd of guests, community leaders, and supporters who gathered to hear stories of triumph over adversity, reinforcing the spirit of hope and unity in Lebanon.
